Just about every woman looks forward to the time of year she can pull her favorite pair of sandals out of the closet & really put them on. This is particularly true for women who really fancy their shoe collection. But, one problem that faces women while it comes sandal season is matching their toenail polish up with the chosen sandals. This can be a bit tricky, particularly if you have a wide variety of colors to choose from where your sandals are concerned. Thus, let’s take a look at some of the best ideas for matching your pedicure with your sandals.
Tangerine or Red Sandals
Tangerine or red colors can be nightmarish to match up with polish, unless you take the simple route & choose the exact same color of polish, which I might say is a bit boring. A much better substitute for this combo is using a neutral colored polish like a pale pink, mauve or taupe. Even a light silver or tan would look nice with these sandals. A few women are bold enough to wear a vast contrast for example a dark blue or even black. The color you choose does depend on your style & the apparel you’ll be wearing, but following a few rules of thumb is always helpful.
Multi-Colored Sandals
Right, you have sandals in your closest that are comprised of 2, or even 3 colors. You want to offset the sandals in the best way possible & that means you are faced with numerous options. For one thing you can do the traditional thing, & that would be to choose from one of the colors on your sandals & match it, or you can go a bit wild & add even one more color to the mix. Let’s say you have light pink, tan, & mint green sandals, a nice light shade of taupe polish would be fine, or a darker shade of the tan, pink or green.
Neutral Colored Sandals
These are easy breezy to match through polish. A neutral sandal goes with just about any color in the rainbow. The key to effectively wearing neutral sandals is to be certain you match your polish color in such a way as to set off your clothing. Such as, a bright red dress with neutral colored sandals isn’t probably a good idea. However, it can work if you utilize red polish on your toes. It’s all about the way you make your outfit “pop” as you hear the celebs say. The sandals & polish are nothing without the right clothes.
Cobalt Blue Sandals
Here’s where it can’t be stressed enough that silver and cobalt is a match made in heaven. In fact, any metallic color you choose will work great by cobalt. You absolutely want to stay away from red when wearing a cobalt blue sandal, except you choose to also paint little white stripes across your toenails in an effort to show support for England, or design small union jacks. It’s virtually impossible to wear blue and red sandal combinations without looking cheap, in our humble opinion.
Grey Sandals
Right now I would honestly have to say that the absolute best color to use with grey sandals would be a shade of lavender or lilac. Whilst any color will go nicely with a grey sandal, this particular combination is quite stylish, yet subtle & easy to look at. Again, pay concentration to the clothes you are wearing, if not, you plan on visiting a nudist colony, in which case it won’t matter what color your polish is. That being said, the chance you’re going to be wearing clothing is much greater, thus ensure your lilac polish with grey sandals isn’t being worn with a brown dress. This could be reason for the fashion police to come round, & no one wants that.
If you want to give your feet the ultimate beauty cure, look into booking a medical pedicure before your big night out. Just keep in mind about your outfit & sandal choices before choosing on a nail polish color.
